I just wanted to send a warm birthday wish to Photos Unscripted’s better half. Trevor is a second-shooter, an amazing assistant, lighting and gear specialist, tech-support, moral supporter, and everything in between when it comes to our photography business. He’s my husband, my hero, my rock, my biggest fan, and my best friend. Needless to say, he’s everything to me. Thanks for your love. Happiest of birthdays to you!!
Always,
Your wife

This picture from 2004 is a special one to me. It’s even before I ever dreamed of a photography business. Since before the start of Photos Unscripted, Trevor’s always been a huge support in every way. Here he is in the freezing cold, happily carrying my tripod.

Anyone that knows me knows I’m a sucker for sweets. I have had a sweet-tooth all of my life. I can remember eating brown sugar by the bowls. I ate butter and sugar sandwiches for months straight in elementary school. I’m embarrassed to say that I would even eat chocolate that I had sold for my school fundraiser. Some people never did receive their goods due to my out-of-control chocolate addiction. Yikes! Even until last year, I would jump into my car with pajamas on just to grab a Skor bar and some gummies from the gas station across the street at midnight. If I was good, I’d go for the York Peppermint Pattie. It’s really amazing that I’m not overweight. It’s even more incredible that I never knew I had a problem until recently. I thought I just really liked sweets – I didn’t know I was addicted. Through reading and studying about sugar addiction (which I always thought was a fictitious label), I’ve become more aware about my problem and am making big changes to become clean.
I started making the switch to eating healthy almost a month ago and I’m already feeling a difference in my overall health. We’re eating healthy with a diet full of grains, lots of fruits and vegetables, and healthy proteins. It’s been a drastic change for me considering I have never eaten this way ever in my life. I’m not perfect with my diet and I decided from the beginning that I wouldn’t deprive myself, but I feel good now that I have the knowledge to make smarter choices when I eat.
Anyways, I just wanted to post this for anyone that might not be aware that they have a sugar addiction. You’re not alone!! It was really difficult the first week, but it became easier and rewarding as time passed.
Some books that I recommend:
Sugar Shock
You Staying Young
The Food You Crave
